George Alvarez

August 31, 1940-September 19, 2021

George was born in Brownsville Texas where he completed school all the way through high school, graduating in 1960. He tried his hand at college but ended up getting notice to join the military. He joined the US Air Force in 1962. He ended up going through aircraft mechanic school and found out that he was good at it. He has worked on all kinds of aircrafts to include F-105, F-111 and A-10. He Met Belen Fierro at Webb Air Force base in Big Spring Texas and soon married.

After Vietnam they traveled all over the world to include the Philippines, England, and multiple states such as Nevada and Louisiana. He retired in Dallas Texas and earned a second retirement with the US postal service. He then was a crossing guard for a local school because he was not done yet.

George loved to fish and hunt and to just be with Family. His favorite meal was anything sweet washed down with a glass of cold milk. A good debate of politics with anyone willing to spare would just make his day.
