Diego M. Luna Jr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 8th, 2020 at the age of seventy-seven.
Diego was born to Diego Luna Sr. and Mrs. Guadalupe M. Luna in San Antonio, Texas. He was a Unites States Army Veteran who served his country in the 1960’s. He owned his business named Diego Luna Insurance Agency which served in the Brownsville area for many years. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
Diego is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Yolanda Luna and Flo L. Martinez and is survived by his beloved wife Maria Esperanza Luna and their five children; Miguel Angel Luna and his wife Griselda, Alma Luna McFarland, Diego S. Luna and his wife Liliana, Joe Luna and his wife Diana and Lisa Luna. Also, to treasure many memories are his eight grandchildren; Diego A. Luna, Isaac Garcia, Matthew McFarland, Kevin Luna, Alyssa Luna, Isabelle Luna, Christian Luna and Evan Luna; his siblings, Isidro Luna and his wife Elida, Arturo Luna and his wife Marge, Irene Montalvo and her husband Jimmy, Rick Luna and his wife Sandy, Greg Luna and his wife Maria, Roland (Mary +) Luna, Diana L. Vargas, Suzi Jimenez and her husband Jose, Rose Murillo and her husband Alex, extended family members and a host of friends.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the North Chapel of Treviño Funeral Home. Visitation resumes from 8:15 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2020, with a chapel service scheduled 10 a.m. Rite of committal will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Diego Luna Jr. will be greatly missed. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in Diego’s memory to St. Jude. There will be envelopes provided during visitation.
