Yasmin Sorensen

Yasmin Sorensen, beloved mother, daughter and sister, at the age of 40, left this earthly world to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, November 5th, 2025. She was preceded by her mother, Imperio Fernandez.

She is survived by her children, Jose Daniel Fernandez, Alejandro Dariel Fernandez, and Kathalina Isabel Fernandez; also, by her lovely siblings, Israel (Zheila) De Hoyos and Yesenia (Ramiro) Fernandez Cepedes.

She was a wonderful mother who was always there when her children needed her. Yasmin was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and true friend that will be dearly missed but dearly remembered!

A visitation for Yasmin will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home-Old Port Isabel Rd., located at 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, Texas, 78521. Visitation will resume Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 8:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a chapel service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Guillen Cemetery.

Yasmin Sorensen, amada madre, hija y hermana, a la edad de 40 años, dejó este mundo terrenal para estar con su Señor y Salvador Jesucristo, el 5 de noviembre de 2025. Fue precedida por su madre, Imperio Fernández.

Le sobreviven sus hijos, José Daniel Fernández, Alejandro Dariel Fernández y Kathalina Isabel Fernández; también, por sus encantadores hermanos, Israel (Zheila) De Hoyos y Yesenia (Ramiro) Fernández Cepedes.

Era una madre maravillosa que siempre estaba ahí cuando sus hijos la necesitaban. Yasmin fue una madre, hija, hermana y verdadera amiga devota a la que extrañaremos mucho, pero recordaremos con cariño.

El velorio de Yasmin se llevará a cabo el martes 11 de noviembre de 2025, de 2:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m. con un rosario a las 7:00 p.m. en Trevino Funeral Home-Old Port Isabel Rd., ubicada en 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, Texas, 78521. Las visitas se reanudarán el miércoles 12 de noviembre de 2025, de 8:15 a.m. a 2:00 p.m. con un servicio en la capilla a las 2:00 p.m. El entierro se llevará a cabo a las 3:00 p.m. en el cementerio de Guillén.
