Virginia Zapata, 70, entered into internal rest on Sunday, August 18, 2019.
Virginia was born to Antonio Loera and Sarah Aguilar in Torreon, Coahuila Mexico. She came to live in Brownsville, Texas when she was a young adult and made it her homestead. She enjoyed reading the newspaper, the Mexican “T.V. Novelas” magazines and she shared many favorite songs that she would play in her record player especially her favorite song artist, Julio Iglesias. She retired from Seapak Company after many years of service. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Vicente Zapata, their son Vicente Zapata Jr. and is survived by her loving son Jose Antonio Zapata and his wife Brenda; three grandchildren Nicholas, Mikaila, Jose Gael. Also, to treasure many memories are her siblings; Graciela Morales, Christina Loera, Andrea Loera Rodriguez, Antonio Loera, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of friends.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of Treviño Funeral Home. Services will conclude; to respect her wishes, cremation will follow.
