Virginia Rubio

August 12, 1928 — April 24, 2016

Virginia Campos Rubio peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at her residence in Brownsville. She was known for her love to her children, her hard work, cooking and gardening.

Mrs. Rubio is preceded in death by her parents; Felipe Campos and Viviana Gomez, and her husband Pablo Rubio Jr.

Mrs. Rubio survived by her sons; Domingo Martinez, Ricardo Alaniz, her 11 grandchildren; Sylvia de los Santos, Margie Mocyqumba, Mary Guess, Daniel Martinez, Domingo Martinez Jr., Derek Allen Martinez, Jeniffer Alaniz, Cindy Alaniz, Genesis Alaniz, Richard Alaniz, Jr., Leonardo Alaniz and 17 great-granddchildren. Also to cherish many memories are her siblings; Elvira Pereida, Enriqueta Rodriguez, Lupita Ramirez, Raul Campos and Arturo Campos. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home and Cremations. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
