Virginia Cortinas

Virginia G. Cortinas entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 4, 2019 at the age of ninety-two.

Virginia was born to Natividad Gomez and Fidela Gomez in San Fernando, Mexico. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband George Cortinas; her son Alfredo Cortinas; a great- grandson Oscar Carrancho and is survived by her two loving daughters, Amalia Givins and Diana Cortinas. Also, to treasure many memories are her eight grandchildren; Israel Rodriguez, Jr., Edgar Rodriguez, Oziel Rodriguez, Virginia Cortinas, Guadalupe Cortinas, Jorge Cortinas, Roberto Cortinas, Alfredo Cortinas Jr.; numerous great-grandchildren and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of Treviño Funeral Home. Visitation resumes 8:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, November 7, 2019. Chapel service will be held 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2019. Rite of committal will follow at Guillen Community Cemetery located 9055 Boca Chica Blvd in Brownsville, Texas 78521.
