Mr. Santiago G. Navarro, 85 beloved father, grandfather, and greatgrandfather entered peacefully into the glory of his eternal life on Saturday, July 07, 2012 at his home. Mr. Navarro will be profoundly missed by his family and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Maria Elena L. Navarro, his parents, Leonor Galindo and Matilde Navarro, his son, Jose Santiago Navarro, and his grandson, Hector Lopez, Jr.
Mr. Navarro is survived by his children: Rosalinda N. Robert Salazar, Leonor Patricia N. Barrera, Hilda George H. Hinojosa, Santiago Patricia Navarro, Jr., Maria Elena Hector Lopez, Norma Leticia Navarro, and his 16 grandchildren, and ten greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. and continue through 9 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 pm. on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 555 W. St. Francis. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Juan Santiago Salazar, Jesus Roberto Salazar, George Anthony Barrera, George James Barrera, George H. Hinojosa, Jr., Gilbert Hinojosa, Santiago Gerardo Navarro, Jr. and Jose Santiago Navarro. Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters, Erica I. Salazar, Norma P. Montgomery, Gina L. Hinojosa, Guiana M. Hinojosa, Melissa Navarro, Claudia Flores, Vanessa L. Rosemond, Roxanne M. Navarro.

Family is requesting contributions to Incarnate Word Convent in care of Sister Vianney Uyeno, 200 Resaca Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78520 in lieu of flowers.
