Sabino Bocardo Galvan

October 27, 1932-October 5, 2026

Sabino Bocardo Galvan, age 93, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2026 at Valley Baptist-Harlingen. He was happily married to Maria Isabel Galvan since December 11, 1966.

Sabino was born to Maria Bocardo Galvan and Claro Galvan in the city of Kyle, Texas. During his lifetime, he was a proud member of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. He retired from the Texas Department of Transportation after 35 years of service. He was an avid lover of crossword puzzles, old cowboy movies, and had an undying loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys.

Sabino was predeceased by his parents Maria and Claro Galvan. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Maria Isabel; his children, Jaime Leonel Galvan, Saul Javier Galvan, Norma Delia Galvan-Ochoa, and Joel Sabino Galvan; his grandchildren, Crystal Skyy Galvan, Amber Starr Galvan, Isaac Leonel Galvan, Kristian Israel Ochoa, Ezequiel Alexsander Ochoa, and Cheryl Samantha Ochoa; and his siblings, Esperanza Galvan-Salinas, Oscar Galvan, Juan Galvan.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, October 12, 2026, from 2pm-7pm at Trevino Funeral Home on 1355 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, TX 78521. Burial services will be held on Tuesday October 13, 2026, at 1pm at the Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens located on 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville TX, 78526
