Rosa S. Martinez

Rosa Saldívar Martínez entered her eternal rest on January 3, 2024, at the age of seventy-four years old.

 She was born on November 13, 1949, in Brownsville, Texas to her parents, Sebastian Saldivar† and Blasa Solis†.

She will be sorely missed.

Rosa is preceded in death by her husband, Reynaldo L. Martinez†, granddaughter, Vanessa Marie Martinez†, parents, Sebastian† and Blasa
Saldivar†, sister, Ramona Rodriguez†, and brother, Sebastian Saldivar†, Jr.

Rosa is survived by her loving children, Ruben (Minerva) Martinez, Ricardo (Lili) Martinez, Raquel (Martin Guzman) Martinez, Raul (Bertha Alicia Aguilera) Martinez, and Rene Martinez, eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, siblings, Guadalupe Saldivar, and Elida Roque as well as extended family and friends.

Serving as Pallbearers: Ricky, Ryan, Rene, Jr., Edward, John, Miguel, Martin, Jr., and Ruben James.

Public visitation will be Monday, January 8, 2024, at the North Chapel of Treviño Funeral Home-Old Port Isabel Rd., 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, Texas, from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Visitation resumes Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 8:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Funeral mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. at St. Eugene de Mazenod Catholic Church, 5409 Austin Rd., Brownsville, TX., Rite of committal will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, TX.
