Ronald Ron Carroll, 61, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Audie Murphy Veterans Hospital in San Antonio, TX. Ron was born the youngest of 4 children in Oklahoma City, OK on April 13, 1946. After spending time in Oklahoma and Texas, the Carroll family moved to Redmond, Oregon, where Ron spent the majority of his school age years. He later joined the Navy, and served during the Vietnam War on board the USS Oriskany.
After leaving the Navy he moved to Texas where he spent most of his years in Harlingen. In Texas, Ron was a licensed Auctioneer and Real Estate Broker for over 30 years. He also was a successful, licensed BuilderContractor for over 20 years.
Rons hobbies included camping, spending time at the beach, and circle track racing. We were blessed to know such a friendly, hard working, loving, and caring man. We will remember Ron most with a smile on his face and a cup of coffee in his hand. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, of 28 years, Carol Carroll, two sons Steve McClister Leslie of Buckeye,AZ and Chris Carroll Katy of San Benito; two daughters Ronda Schwandt Robbie of Houston and Salina Hartfield Devin of Dallas; three siblings Ken Carroll, Jim Carroll Sue, and Nancy Larson all of Redmond, OR; 9 grandchildren; and numerous bothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews who were very close to him and treasured him dearly.
Ron is preceded in death by his Father, Archie Carroll Sr. and his mother Morene Carroll.
Visitation will be held from 10a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2008 at Trevino Funeral Home North Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Full Military rites will be conducted by members of the VFW Post 2035 funeral detail.
