Roberto Castillo

Mr. Roberto Castillo passed peacefully to the glory of his eternal life on Monday, June 12, 2023, at the age of seventy-three years old in Brownsville, Texas.  Roberto was born on August 19, 1949, his parents were Ignacio Castillo† and Emilia Jimenez† of Lozano, Texas.

Roberto lived in Brownsville, Texas but often migrated to Colorado to do what he loved, “working in agriculture.” He enjoyed planting and harvesting fruits and vegetables.

His family and friends knew him as a kind and charitable person who would always step in to help others. Despite having a big family, Roberto never hesitated to open his home to his family and friends. He will be eternally missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Roberto is preceded in death by his parents, Ignacio Castillo†, and Emilia Jimenez†, sons-in-law, Rene Barrera†, and Damacio Martin Gutierrez†.

Left to cherish his memories is his beloved wife, Elvira Arellano, his adoring children, Carlos (Gina) Castillo, Marisol (Allen) Jimenez, Veronica Dozal, Roberto Castillo, Jr., Evangelina Castillo, Jose Luis Castillo, Esmeralda Barrera, Andrew Castillo, Michael Castillo, twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren as well as extended family, and friends.

He will be eternally missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Visitation service in Roberto’s honor will take place at the North Chapel of Treviño Funeral Home of Brownsville, Texas on Friday, June 16, 2023, from 2:00 pm. to 9:00 pm with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

As per his family’s wishes services will conclude on Friday June 16 at 9:00 p.m. with no future services to be announced.

Cremation will follow at time-of-service conclusion on Friday, June 16, 2023.
