Regina Gonzalez

Regina Gonzalez, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away on June 2, 2025, in Brownsville, Texas. She was born on September 7, 1930, in Veracruz, Mexico. Regina brought laughter and joy to everyone around her with her funny and playful spirit, though she was also serious when the moment called for it.

Regina leaves behind her treasured family, including her sibling, Aurelio Hernandez, and her children, Francisco Gonzalez, Abel Salazar (Amanda), and Juanita Trujillo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Hernandez and Epifania Espinoza, and her many siblings: Jesus Andrade, Silverio Hernandez, Gregorio Hernandez, Soledad Hernandez, Baldomera Hernandez, Julieta Hernandez, and Catalina Hernandez. She also mourns the loss of her children, Raquel Gonzalez, Jorge Gonzalez, Eduardo Rivera Sr., and Manuel Trujillo, as well as her husband, Vidal Gonzalez.

Regina found joy in singing and listening to music, activities that reflected her personality. May Regina rest in eternal peace, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.

Friends and family are invited to honor Regina during the upcoming services at Trevino Funeral Home located at 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 8:15 AM to 10:00 AM, with a chapel service at 10:00 AM and concluding with a burial service at Buena Vista Burial Park, starting at 11:00 AM.
