Rebecca Janice Arriaga, born on August 15, 1978, in Brownsville, Texas, passed away on July 20, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. She will be missed by all who were fortunate to have known her.
Rebecca found joy in listening to music, dancing, and exercising, but truly, her heart belonged to her family. She was devoted to her children, always cherishing the time spent with them. An avid churchgoer, Rebecca's faith was a significant aspect of her life, guiding her values and her actions.
She is survived by her husband, Martin Mendoza, and their three children: Jennifer Flores, Jasmin Flores, and Rianna Mendoza. Adding to her legacy is her granddaughter, Anahi Perez, who brought immense joy to Rebecca’s life. Rebecca is also survived by her mother, Guadalupe Arriaga, as well as her siblings: Joe Arriaga, Henry Arriaga, Gabby Rodriguez, Rosa Galvan, and extended relatives.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her father, Jose Arriaga. She will be remembered for her caring spirit and unwavering dedication to her family.
Services to honor Rebecca will be held at Trevino Funeral Home, located at 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78521. Visitation will take place on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., followed with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 8:15 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., with a Prayer Service from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Services to conclude at 9:30 a.m.
