Raquel Mosbacker

August 30, 1925 — January 30, 2013

Raquel Mosbacker passed away peacefully at the home she shared with her husband of 66 years, Mervyn M. Mosbacker. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, teacher. She devoted her life to helping others, educating thousands of children in the fourty years she worked as a teacher, principal, and superintendent in her native Tamaulipas. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brownsville, working tirelessly with her husband to better the lives of those in need. She was loved and will be missed.
She is survived by her husband Mervyn, her children Marcus, Mervyn Jr. Linda Mosbacker, Myra Spector, and Matthew E. Mary Beth Mosbacker. Grandchildren Justin Spector, Laura Mosbacker, Michael Follis, Evan Mosbacker, and Blair Mosbacker. A sister Clementina Blum.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 01, 2013 from 3 pm to 9 pm at Trevino Funeral Home in the South Chapel. Funeral Service will be held at 3 pm today, Saturday, February 1, 2013 at First United Methodist Church and burial will follow.
