Oscar Hernandez, a kind and welcoming individual, passed away on December 13, 2023, in Brownsville, Texas. Born on May 14, 1987, Oscar lived a life filled with love, joy, and passion for the things he held dear.
Throughout his life, Oscar nurtured his creative spirit through various hobbies and interests. He had an incredible talent for playing the guitar and found solace in creating beautiful melodies. He also had a knack for writing music that resonated deeply with those who listened. Oscar's creativity didn't stop there; he had a keen eye for photography and captured countless precious moments with his camera, as well as his love for his shoe collection, t-shirt collection, and most importantly his guitar collection. However, above all else, the time he spent with his beloved family and friends brought him the greatest happiness.
Oscar is survived by his loving mother, Maria Chavez, his stepfather, Ernesto Chavez, Jr., his brothers, Samuel David Hernandez, his sister, Cynthia Bricia Hernandez, nephew, Bernardo Rodriguez, Jr., two nieces, Bricia Hernandez, Alicia Reyna Coronado, his father, Osvaldo Hernandez, Jr., stepmother, Lupita Cano, and his stepsister, Claudia Cano as well as extended family and friends.
To celebrate Oscar's life and honor his memory, memorial services will be held at Trevino Funeral Home-Old Port Isabel Rd., 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd., in Brownsville, Texas at 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM.
Services will conclude at 9:00 PM.
Oscar will forever be remembered as a talented musician whose music touched the hearts of all who heard it. His genuine kindness and warm personality made him a beloved presence in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Although he has left this world prematurely, his spirit will live on in our memories.
