Olivia S. Zepeda 97, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 13, 2023, in Brownsville, Texas.

She was born on April 20, 1925, in Mexico to Feliciano Saldivar and Guadalupe de la Garza.

Olivia’s passions were gardening, sewing, and spending time with her beloved family; her quick wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Feliciano Saldivar and Guadalupe de la Garza; her husband, Manuel Zepeda Sr.; sons, Manuelito Zepeda Jr. and Manuel Zepeda Jr.; and Katy Sandoval and Maria Rodriguez.

She is survived by her ten children: Amelia Zepeda RSM, Pedro (Tommie) Zepeda, Arturo (Socorro) Zepeda, Valentina Zepeda, Sandra Hinojosa, Imelda Zepeda, Marizela Zepeda, Lorena (Gary) McCain, Ruben Zepeda, and Nalda Zepeda. Other family members left to cherish her memory: brother, Esteban Saldivar; Rosa Gonzalez, Manuela Maya, Zoila Saldana, Juanita Gonzales, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Public visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm in the North Chapel of Trevino Funeral Home.

Visitation resumes Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 8:15 am to 1:30 pm with a Funeral Mass at St. Luke Catholic Church located at 2800 Rockwell Dr. in Brownsville, Texas at 2:00 pm.

Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens located at 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd. in Brownsville, Texas.

Serving as Pallbearers: Arturo Zepeda Jr., Manuel Zepeda III, Jorge Tovar Jr., Pedro Zepeda Jr., Fernando Hinojosa Jr., and Pablo Zepeda.

Honorary Pallbearers: Javier Olvera Jr., Richard Zepeda, Ivan Zepeda, Demetrio Zepeda, Michael Olvera, Jacob Tovar, James Tovar, and Chris Delgado.
