Ofelia M. Ramirez, 66, died Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at her residence in Katy, Texas.
She was born in Brownsville, Texas. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and a lifelong resident of Brownsville. She was a food service clerk at Texas Southmost College for many years.
She was preceded in death by: her husband Juan A. Ramirez, her parents, Jose and Carlota Martinez, three brothers, Ruben, Reynaldo, and Rodolfo Martinez, and a sister Ignacia Saldivar.
Survivors include: her daughters Patricia Rodolfo Hernandez and Araceli Robert Avitia both of Katy, Texas a son Santiago Leticia S. Ramirez of Houston, Texas sisters Mary Torres and Janie Valdez brothers Ramiro and Jesus Martinez seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday May 14, 2010 with a rosary to be said at 7:30 at Trevino Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday May 15, 2010 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Pallbearers will be Santiago S. Ramirez, Rodolfo Hernandez, Conrad Valero, Carlos Valero, Bryan Lee Hernandez, Robert Avitia and Jessie Valdez.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ramiro and Jesus Martinez.
