Miss Antonia Buenrostro

Antonia "Miss Tonie" H. Buenrostro, 93, from Brownsville, Texas passed away on June 4, 2015.

"Miss Tonie", as she was known by all her friends and all the people that loved her,
was retired from B.I.S.D. after 26 years. She was well known at Homer Hanna High School as the "cookie lady". She loved dancing, singing and listening to her favorite music. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Carlos Buenrostro, her grandson Cesar "Chacho" Martinez and her wonderful son-in-law Valentin Leal.

"Miss Tonie " is survived by her loving children, Alice B. (Valentin +) Leal, Cecilia (Cesar) Martinez, Antonia (Louis) Betancourt, Del (Ruben) Perez, Rosie Sosa, Carlos (Beatrice) Buenrostro and Juan Jose (Maria Elena) Buenrostro. Also to cherish many memories are 21 Grandchildren, 24 Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.


Visitation will be from 5 p.m. through 8 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015 with a prayer service at 6 p.m. and a recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. in the South Chapel of Trevino Funeral Home, 1355 Old Port Isabel Road. The funeral mass will be Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 2 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church and interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
