Minnie Escobedo

Minnie W. Escobedo, 89, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

Minnie was born in March 28, 1928 to Roberto Weaver and Refugia Weaver in San Benito, Texas. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed not only by her family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Tina Escobedo; her siblings Willie Weaver, Eddie Weaver, Eloisa Cardenas, Lily Vasquez.

Minnie is survived by her loving husband Oscar Escobedo; their children Rachel Wilson, Nancy Gittelman (Stewart), Delpha Frisch (Russsell), Linda (Roberto), Oscar Escobedo Jr., twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also, to treasure many memories are her siblings; Ester, Tony, Mary, Julia, Amelia and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in the South Chapel at Trevino Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. at Primera Iglesia Presbiteriana, located on 616 E. Jefferson Saturday, January 6, 2018. Rite of committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
