Maribel Vallejo, beloved mother, sister, and friend, entered eternal rest on September 3, 2025, in her hometown of Brownsville, Texas, where she was born on January 15, 1969, to her parents, Santana Vallejo and Felicitas Garcia.
Throughout her life, Maribel embodied a spirit of kindness and generosity that touched everyone she encountered. Known for her friendly, loud, humble, and caring nature, she was an outgoing presence who always lent a helping hand to those in need. Her love for others was shown in diverse ways like gift giving, lending a helping hand, listening to struggles, giving advice and so much more, which brought her so much joy. Her ways of showing her love wasn’t just materialistic and that’s what truly made her one of a kind, just like her love for her “grandson turned son”, Major.
Maribel is survived by her beloved children, Miguel Angel "Mikey" Hernandez and Natasha Nicole Sosa. She is also survived by her siblings: Rosalinda Perez, Alicia Vallejo, Maria De Jesus San Miguel, Santana Vallejo Jr., Samuel Vallejo, Roberto Vallejo, Maricela Vallejo, Christy Vallejo, and Patricia Vallejo, alongside numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Maribel was preceded in death by her loving parents, Santana Vallejo and Felicitas Garcia, and her siblings, Carlos Vallejo, Alberto Vallejo, Ricardo Vallejo, and Enrique Vallejo. She was also preceded by her beloved family friend, Fernando Garcia.
