Maria Del Rosario Moreno

Maria del Rosario Moreno entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 15, 2020 at the age of fifty-four.

“Chayo”, as we know her, was born to Rumaldo Moreno Jr. and Maria de la Luz Moreno in Brownsville, Texas. She lived her life to the fullest, enjoyed family gatherings and treasured many wonderful memories. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father Rumaldo Moreno Jr.; her brother Ricardo Moreno and is survived by her loving mother Maria de la Luz Moreno. Also, to treasure many memories are her siblings; Irma Varela and her husband Francisco, Marisela Ayala and her husband Hector, Rumaldo Moreno III and his wife Connie; nieces and nephews, Javier Varela, Anadelia Varela, Adrian Varela, Ricardo Ayala, Elizabeth Moreno, David Moreno; numerous aunts, uncles and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2020, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the North Chapel of Treviño Funeral Home. Visitation resumes from 8:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.Friday, June 19, 2020.  A funeral mass is scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2020 at Holy Family Catholic Church located on 2405 E. Tyler Street in Brownsville, Texas 78520. Rite of committal will follow at Rose Lawn Memoria Gardens.

Honored to serve as Chayo’s pallbearers are; Francisco Javier Varela Jr., David Moreno, Ricardo Ayala, Adrian Varela, Francisco Javier Varela Sr. and Hector Ayala.
