Maria Lydia Trevino Salgado, 84, a lifelong resident of Brownsville, Texas, died peacefully Saturday December 20, 2014, in Round Rock, Texas surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Salgado was a devoted mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother who was born on February 17, 1930 in Monterrey, Mexico.
Mrs. Salgado was preceded in death by her only daughter Alejandra and a grandson Daryalex her parents Jose F. and Maria Trevio two brothers Jesus and Reynaldo Trevio niece Lydia Trevino.
Mrs. Salgado is survived by her loving son Ulysses Salgado of Brownsville whom she cared for unconditionally, her Granddaughter Monique Gabriel De la Cruz, who was always by her side and three greatgranddaughters who were the light of her life Alejandra, Victoria and Gabriela.
She is also survived by her two sisters Hortencia Robert Garcia, Rosie Ramos two brothers Jose Rafaela Trevino and Carlos Julia Trevio. Also surviving her are numerous nephews and nieces, greatnephews and greatnieces who affectionately called her Tia Lydia.
As per her wishes the family will begin receiving friends at 2:00 p.m. and a memorial service will be held today at 4:00 p.m., Saturday December 27, 2014 in the South Chapel of Trevio Funeral Home, 1355 Old Port Isabel Road.
