Maria Reyna

Maria de Jesus Reyna was born on March 29, 1929 and entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the age of eighty-nine.

She was born to Antonio Reyna and Refugia Nieto in Brownsville, Texas. She was a lifetime resident of Brownsville, Texas and retired from serving thirty years in the Dietary Department of Mercy Hospital. She was an active member of her Catholic faith with Holy Family Catholic Church and also attended Immaculate Cathedral Church. Maria de Jesus was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her siblings Juan Antonio Reyna from Danbury, Texas, Ramon Reyna, Antonia Sierra, Rosaura Castro, Reynaldo Reyna, Ramiro Reyna, Ruben Reyna and Enrique Reyna. Also, to treasure many memories are numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the North Chapel of Trevino Funeral Home. A chapel service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 31, 2019. Rite of committal will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
