Maria Guadalupe Lupita Trevino Guerrero

Passed into eternal life on at Valley Regional Hospital in Brownsville, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband of thirty years, Adan Guerrero Sr.,Father in law Moises Guerrero Sr., Mother in law Silveria V. Guerrero and her Father Francisco A. Trevino Sr. Lupita is survived by her Mother Lucila R. Trevino, two children: Yvette Monique Guerrero and Adam Guerrero Jr. her siblings: Terry, Sandra, Mary, Frank, Jesse, Leonard, Farley Laura and Mark Diana many nieces, nephews brothers and sisters in law, aunts and uncles.
She was a 1971 Brownsville High School graduate. Lupita seemed to know everyone in Brownsville. Everywhere she went she would run into friends from school.
She began her career in education as a teenager and obtained degrees in bilingual education from UT Pan American, UT Brownsville, where she was a champion Volleyball and Badminton player. and University of Texas El Paso where she obtained her masters degree. She became an elementary bilingual school teacher, which she remained for a joyous thirtytwo years until her retirement. Lupita worked at a variety of schools such as: El Jardin, Peugnet Resaca, Egly, and finally Perez Elementary. During her career she made many wonderful friends and changed many childrens lives. She also served as a member of Faith Presbyterian church where she was a big supporter of the youth group, involved with the womens group and supported several church ministries.
After retirement, her joys in life were shopping, entertaining, decorating her home and watching the sun set from various venues at South Padre Island. Her biggest joy though was caring and spoiling her three nieces: Cristina Marie, Amanda Nicole, and Sarah Michelle. They are the apple of her eye and the light of her life.
Funeral services will be held at Faith Presbyterian Church at 1154 East Los Ebanos, Brownsville, Texas 78520. Services will begin promptly at 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 5th, 2012. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will include her brothers: Frank, Leonard, Farley, and Mark Trevino also Mark Samuel LaRue, Nathan LaRue, Abdiel Guerrero, and Jose Guerrero Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Jesse Trevino, Orlando Rodriguez, Israel Rodriguez, Hazael Guerrero Jr, Adan Saenz and Armando Guevara
