Maria Elena Gonzalez Luna, age 92, of Brownsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024. Born on June 22, 1932, in Mexico, Maria lived a life enriched with kindness and care that touched the hearts of many.

She is survived by her loving children, Belinda Elena Bazan, Julio Ernesto Bazan, Jose Enrique (Rosie) Bazan, and Yvonne Lorena Escobar. Maria was also blessed with the joy of seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward her legacy of love and warmth.

Maria is preceded in death by her husband: Julio Cesar Bazan de-la Llata. Her family remembers her as a nurturing and compassionate figure who always put the well-being of others first, embodying the values of generosity and empathy throughout her life.

Visitation honoring Maria's life will take place on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Trevino Funeral Home in Brownsville, Texas, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a prayer service from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
