Maria Cortez

Maria Felix Cortez, 86, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2010. She was born and raised in Los Reyes, Estado de Hidalgo and lived in Brownsville, Texas most of her life.

She died in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by the following children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren: Sons, Arturo Guadalupe Flores and Jose Nicolas Saldana grandchildren, Ruby Celeste Boyd, Jacqueline Mendez, Shannon Margaret Flores, Arturo Flores Jr., Kenneth Saldana, Dan Saldana, Haydee Herrera and greatgrandchildren, Sebastian James Boyd, Celeste Isabella Boyd, Sophia Moorea Boyd, Jacklyn Nicole Mendez, Peter Herrera, Cynthia Herrera, Vincent Saldana, and Ian Saldana.

Although her absence will be missed and she has left a deep void in our hearts, we entrust her to the loving arms of our Lords kingdom, knowing that she will be in good hands and free of the suffering of her illness. She passed in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, November 26, 2010 at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will take place at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens
