Maria Correa

Maria Guadalupe Correa died peacefully on October 21, 2022 at the age of 83 after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer’s. Maria was born on December 17, 1938 to Maria Bustinza Rubio and Guadalupe Rubio.

She was preceded in death by her parents Guadalupe Rubio and Maria Bustinza Rubio, her siblings Jose Rubio, Margarita Rubio, Julian Rubio, Juan Rubio, and Elvia Zamora, her husband Jose A. Correa, her son Jose A. Correa Jr., and her granddaughter Lynette Perales.

She leaves behind 6 children Leticia Petrarca, Jaime Correa (Irene), Levinia Perales (Fermin), Cynthia Correa (MaryAnn), Lynda Correa, and Lorrie Correa.

She leaves behind 9 grandchildren Jose Correa III, Shannon Correa, Paul Correa (Melissa), Antonio Petrarca III (Mary), Denise Martinez (William), Jaime Correa Jr., Fermin Perales Jr., Serena Jackson, and Summer Jackson, and 12 great grandchildren.

Maria loved to read, loved watching telenovelas, loved shopping, loved long conversations, and loved traveling with her family. She will be remembered for her amazing flour tortillas, for her need for cleanliness and order, and for how fiercely she loved her entire family.

Visitation services will de held Thursday November 3, 2022 12 pm-9 pm at Treviño Funeral Home-Old Port Isabel Rd. with a Rosary at 7 pm. Visitation resumes Friday November 4, 2022 at 8:15 am to 12 pm with a chapel service at 12:00 pm and Interment to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens at 1:00 pm.

Serving as pallbearers are Jaime Correa Sr., Jaime Correa Jr., Fermin Perales, Antonio Petrarca, William Martinez, Eddie Molina and honorary pallbearer, Julius Petrarca.
