Maria Elena Alcantar, 94, entered into eternal life on Friday, April 16, 2010.
She was a member of the Legion of Mary, Vela De Perpetua, Eucharist of Ministry, and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernesto and Paula Betancourt Lopez, husband Refugio Alcantar, children Eliseo Alcantar, Olga Alcantar, brothers Ernesto Lopez , Santiago Lopez and Antonio Lopez.

She is survived by her sister Maria Luisa Lopez, children Jose Refugio Alcantar, Nicolasa Zarate, Graciela Mejia, Angelica A. Pomrice, 16 grandchildren, 15 greatgrandchildren, 5 greatgreatgrandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a very dear friend Josefina Valerio.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. , Sunday, April 18, 2010. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, April 19, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will be held at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
