Manuela L.Cortez, 94, entered into life on May 18, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical CenterBrownsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband Pablo Cortez and her son Pablo Cortez, Jr.
She is survived by her children Andy Lucy Cortez, Ricardo Cortez Jr, Ruben Norma Cortez, Lupita Reyna, Irma Louie Lucio, Frances Perez, Elida Cortez, Maria Magdalena Cortez, Yolanda Frank Bejarano Cortez and Esther Rene Lugo, grandchildren James Cortez, Joey Cortez, Andy Cortez, Richard Cortez, George Cortez, Norma Cortez, Debbie Cortez, Jesse Cortez, Nina Cortez Dennis Cortez, Vanessa Cortez , Cristian Cortez, Gus Reyna Jr, Javier Reyna, Cipriano Reyna, Rosie Morales, Carlos Tapia Jr, Oscar Tapia, Amadeo Tapia, Irma Ramos, Yolanda Tapia, Linda Aguilar, Ruben Cortez Jr, Mark Cortez, Manuelita Cortez, Valente Cortez, Alfonso Perez, Jr., Cynthia Andrade, Silvia Morales, Sandra Morales, Javier Perez, Esther Lugo, Samuel Reyes Jr, Alberto Pedraza Jr , Maggie Cortez, Paul Cortez III, Robert Cortez, Melissa Cortez, Sergio Cortez, Willy Cortez, and Freddy Ruiz, Jr., numerous greatgrandchildren, greatgreat grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service officiated by Pastora Frances Perez from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. , Friday, May 20, 2011 at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel. A chapel service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at to Buena Vista Burial Park.
Pallbearers will be James Cortez, Gus Reyna, Jr., Carlos Tapia, Jr., Valente Cortez, Alfonso Perez, Jr., Sergio Cortez, Sammy Reyes and Freddy Ruiz, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be her sons Andy Cortez, Ricardo Cortez and Ruben Cortez.
