Manuel Perez, Jr.

Manuel F. Perez, Jr., 59, peacefully passed into his Lords hands on August 15, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Brownsville and lived in San Pedro. Jr. enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, and his Dallas Cowboys. He was a graduate of Los Fresnos High School. On any given you could always find Jr. sitting on his chair tending to a customer, of course never on a football Sunday and definitely not during a Cowboy Game

Jr. was preceded in death by his Parents; Manuel Eulogia Fonseca Perez, Brothers; Efrain and Gil Perez, Stepmother; Andrea T. Perez, Stepsister; Lucia Cortez.

He is survived by Brothers, Sisters; Santa P. Ruben Becerra of San Pedro, Irma P. Xavier Vega of Horseshoe Bay, Lita P. Borrego, Gracie P. John Kanalas, Rene Mary Perez of San Antonio, Encarnacion Celina Perez of Los Fresnos, Don Mary Perez, Adan Alejandrina Perez of Brownsville, 3 Stepbrothers; Joe, Eliseo, and Feliciano Garcia all of Brownsville and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be; Ruben Becerra, Jr., Don Perez, Jr., Rene E. Becerra, Adan Perez, Jr., Lenny Perez, and Jesus M. Becerra.

God our Father, Your power brings us to birth, Your providence guides our lives, and by Your command we return to dust.

A rosary will be held on at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, August 16, 2009. Visitation will begin as of 9:00 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2009.Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 17, 2009 at the San Pedro Catholic Church with interment to follow at the San Pedro Community Cemetery off of Cemetery Rd. in San Pedro, Texas.
