Luis Aguilar entered into eternal rest on February 8th, 2021 at the age of sixty-five years.
Mr. Aguilar was born January 28th, 1956 to Praxedis Aguilar and Santos Herrera in Brownsville, Texas. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, brother and friend. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a teacher at Porter High School for 33 years and also taught at Texas Southmost College for 20 years. He currently managed Louie’s Body shop for 41 years. He was a great man and was known by many and dedicated himself to his work and family. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
Luis was preceded in death by his parents Praxedis and Santos Aguilar and is survived by his loving wife Rosalinda Aguilar and their children Gilbert Aguilar and his wife Hazel Cervantes, Luis Aguilar Jr and wife Lilian Aguilar, Tony Aguilar and wife Marlen Ramirez, and Cindy Picazo and husband Gilbert Picazo Jr. Also, to treasure many memories are his siblings; Ernesto Aguilar, Graciela Castro, Rodolfo Aguilar, Raul Aguilar, Ruben Aguilar, and Ricardo Aguilar; His loving grandchildren, Gilbert Aguilar Jr., Damian J. Aguilar, Lola Aguilar, Danny Gonzalez, Bella Aguilar, Aubrianna Picazo, Gilbert Alexander Picazo, Jaylene Aguilar, Desiree Aguilar and extended family members.
There will be a Memorial Service from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021 with Military Honors at 4 p.m. in the South Chapel of Treviño Funeral Home.
