Born on February 11, 1972, in Mexico, Laura graced the lives of many with her infectious laughter and unwavering love for those around her. She was a shining beacon of strength and kindness, always putting others before herself and fostering deep connections with family and friends.

Laura's personality could be described as funny, silly, and thoroughly loving. She cared deeply for her family and was known for her thoughtful nature. Whether it was delighting in her favorite show, "Friends," or spending cherished moments at the beach with her toes in the sand, Laura had a love for life that inspired all who knew her.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Jose Alberto Alaniz, and her two beloved children, Vanessa Nicole (Ethan) Blanco and Joe Michael Alaniz-Ruiz. Laura is also survived by her cherished parents, Gonzalo and Nicolasa Ruiz, along with her siblings, Josue (Stacey) Ruiz and Jonnathan Ruiz (Bisset Moreno).

Laura's life will be celebrated during a visitation service on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, located at 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX, 78521. Visitation will conclude after 6:00 p.m.

May Laura rest in eternal peace, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

Nacida el 11 de febrero de 1972 en México, Laura honró la vida de muchos con su risa contagiosa y su amor inquebrantable por quienes la rodeaban.
