Larry James Bole, 71, of Brownsville, Texas passed away peacefully on May 6, 2015 at Valley Baptist Medical Center. He was born and raised in Fairbury, Nebraska and as a young man relocated to Wichita, Kansas before moving to Denver, Colorado in the 1960's. He worked for Safeway Grocers for 30 years before retiring in the late 1990's. After retirement, he found his true home in Texas and made it permanent in 1999. Larry was a loving husband, brother, father, uncle, step-father, and grandfather. He was an avid history buff, die-hard Bronco fan and a wonderful conversationalist.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Lewis H. Bole & Sylvia Simmons Bole, his sisters; Margaret Kissack & Alice Kroeker, and his nephew; Ronnie Kissack.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 16 years; Wanda Williams Bole, his brother; Charles Bole, his daughter; Allison (Bole) Torres, his son; Steven Bole, his nephews; Clayton & Alan Kissack, granddaughter; Meghann Torres and his step-children; Craig, Mark, & David (Jeryn Sealy) Williams.
His passing will forever leave an absence in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Larry will be remembered most for his humble nature, iron will, classic taste and quick wit.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Monday, May 11, 2015 from 2 to 4pm at the Winter Haven Resort clubhouse, 3501 Old Port Isabel Rd Brownsville, TX.
