Kenneth Gordon

Kenneth Gilbert Gordon, born March 7, 1951, passed after a long illness on December 6, 2021. His parents, William J. and Ella Chittenden Dennett Gordon predeceased him. He is survived by his spouse, Nyla C. Gordon, DDS, their 3 children: Dawn [TX], Robin (Parker Brown) [VA], and William (Natalie) Gordon [NM], grandchildren: James, Kenneth, and Riley Gordon and sister, Virginia (Phillip) Leeds [TX].

An entrepreneur, whose careers spanned real estate to the early introduction of personal computers and beyond, his wry sense of humor and brilliant mind were appreciated by those who knew him. Born in Whittier, California, Ken and his family moved to Brownsville, his Mother's hometown, at the age of 9. He graduated from Harlingen High School in 1969 and became a life-long student of science, mathematics, history, and science fiction. He enjoyed chess, caving, cats, travel and his family. His family and friends love him deeply and he will be missed.

Arrangements are pending for a memorial service to be held at St. Alban's Episcopal Church, Harlingen. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Brownsville Animal Regulation & Care Center to honor Ken's love of animals.
