Juan Alberto Sanchez Rivera

San Benito ,TX

Juan Alberto Sanchez, born on December 21, 1960, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, passed peacefully on February 2, 2025, in Harlingen, Texas. 

He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Sylvia Polanco Sanchez, and a proud father to five children: Juan Alberto Sanchez Jr. (Estrellita), Aaron Abiel Sanchez, Adriana Patricia Rodriguez (Andrew), Jorge Alberto Sanchez, and Jose Angel Sanchez. He is also survived by his grandchildren.

 As a Pace High School alumni, Juan was honored as one of the “Legends of Track.” Breaking district records and making it to the state playoffs. He later established himself as a mechanic and built his Sanchez Thermo King empire in which he worked on truck and trailer refrigeration and Auto A/C. He later established a secondary business, best known as King’s ATVs. Juan was best known for his work ethic, professionalism, industry knowledge, and loyalty to his established customers. 

Despite his serious persona, Juan was a charismatic person. He had a passion for farming and raising animals. Juan was especially known for raising his long line of German Shepherds, whom continue to serve as a joyous reminder of their time together. 

He leaves behind his parents, Oscar and Lidia Sanchez, as well as his siblings: Oscar Sanchez (Rosie), Olga Rios (Agustin), Alma Sanchez, Julio Sanchez (Blanca), Sandra Guzman (Eliseo), Ruben Sanchez (Leticia), Nancy Sanchez, Mary Sandoval (Cristobal), Jesus Sanchez (Alejandra); and numerous nephews and nieces. Each of them remembers Juan for his unwavering commitment to family and his hardworking spirit.

 A visitation service will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, located at 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78521. A prayer service will also take place on the same day, starting at 7:00 PM. The final visitation will take place on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 8:15 AM to 10:00 AM, with a chapel service at 10:00 AM.

 Juan will forever be remembered for his strength, generosity, and dedication to his family. We will always miss him but find comfort in knowing he is at peace.

Juan Alberto Sánchez, nacido el 21 de diciembre de 1960 en Matamoros, Tamaulipas, falleció pacíficamente el 2 de febrero de 2025 en Harlingen, Texas.

Fue un esposo devoto de su amada esposa, Sylvia Polanco Sánchez, y un orgulloso padre de cinco hijos: Juan Alberto Sánchez Jr. (Estrellita), Aarón Abiel Sánchez, Adriana Patricia Rodríguez (Andrés), Jorge Alberto Sánchez y José Ángel Sánchez. También le sobreviven sus nietos.

Como ex alumno de Pace High School, Juan fue honrado como una de las "Leyendas del Atletismo". Rompiendo récords distritales y llegando a los playoffs estatales. Más tarde se estableció como mecánico y construyó su imperio Sánchez Thermo King, en el que trabajó en la refrigeración de camiones y remolques y en el aire acondicionado de automóviles. Más tarde estableció un negocio secundario, mejor conocido como King's ATV. Juan era mejor conocido por su ética de trabajo, profesionalismo, conocimiento de la industria y lealtad a sus clientes establecidos.

A pesar de su personalidad seria, Juan era una persona carismática. Le apasionaba la agricultura y la cría de animales. Juan era especialmente conocido por criar a su larga línea de pastores alemanes, que continúan sirviendo como un alegre recordatorio de su tiempo juntos.

Deja a sus padres, Oscar y Lidia Sánchez, así como a sus hermanos: Oscar Sánchez (Rosie), Olga Ríos (Agustín), Alma Sánchez, Julio Sánchez (Blanca), Sandra Guzmán (Eliseo), Rubén Sánchez (Leticia), Nancy Sánchez, Mary Sandoval (Cristóbal), Jesús Sánchez (Alejandra); y numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas. Cada uno de ellos recuerda a Juan por su compromiso inquebrantable con la familia y su espíritu trabajador.

Se llevará a cabo un servicio de visitación el domingo 9 de febrero de 2025, de 2:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m. en Trevino Funeral Home, ubicada en 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78521. También se llevará a cabo un servicio de oración el mismo día, a partir de las 7:00 p.m. La visita final tendrá lugar el lunes 10 de febrero de 2025, de 8:15 a.m. a 10:00 a.m., con un servicio de capilla a las 10:00 a.m.

Juan siempre será recordado por su fuerza, generosidad y dedicación a su familia. Siempre lo extrañaremos, pero nos consuela saber que está en paz.
