Juan Castro Jr., 71, entered into eternal life on June 08, 2009.
He is preceded in death by parents, Juan Castro, Josefina Benavidez, son, Juan Alberto Castro, siblings, Esperanza Trevino, Guadalupe Shears and a niece, Janie Valdez.
He is survived by his wife; Josefina R. Castro, children, Rosario Ramiro Castillo, Rolando Elizabeth Castro, Esmeralda Jesus Cruz, Luis Alma Castro, Norma Edgardo Henriques, and Yolanda Francisco Cruz, and Samuel Rodriguez, his former wife, Rosa Garza Cardenas, children, Rosa M. Castro Curiel, Elizabeth Castro M., Juan Castro, Jr., Esperanza Castro and Manuel Castro, 29 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and worked for the U.S. Immigration Service for 32 years. He was a faithful husband, inspiring father, unforgettable grandfather, a wonderful great-grandfather and a friend to all; always enjoy playing golf, hunting and fishing.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 10 at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Albert Castro, Edgar Henriques, Ramiro Castillo Jr., Luis Castro, Juan Castro, Jr. and Manuel Castro.
Full military honors will be conducted by the VFW Post 2035.
