Joyena Robertson Labit, 77 of Brownsville, passed away peacefully to Jesus at her home Medford Assisted Living on Sunday morning March 22 2009 with her true love by her side Abe Fiece were engaged in October 2008.
She was born in Los Angeles, CA in October 13, 1931 to Ray and Julie Robertson. She graduated from Verdugo Hills High in Tujuna, CA. She lived most of her life in California. She moved to Brownsville about 3 years ago. She attended Brownsville Community Fellowship Church where she was loved and supported and known as Granny. After a 4 month stay in Brownsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, she met her true love Abe. They spent the last 2 years loving and caring for each other.
She preceded in death by her parents and her brother.
She is survived by her true love Abe Fiece, daughter, Julena Noble of Nampa, ID, her son , William Cozad of Desert Hot Spring, CA, adopted daughter, Paula Beer of Carson City NV, granddaughters, Viola Adolfo Marks, Tammy Davis, Lynda Noble, Kendra Cozad, Amanda Beer, grandsons, Daniel Noble and Nathan Cozad 3 great granddaughters, and 4 great-grandsons.
Special thanks to all the doctors, nurses, aids, Brownsville EMS, BNRC, LV Assisted Living and Medford Assisted Living for the last 3 years of special care.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 9:30am Brownsville Community Fellowship Church, 2414 Central Blvd., Brownsville, Tx. 78520.
