Jose Armando Gonzalez

Jose Armando Gonzalez entered into rest on Wednesday, May 11th, 2022 in Brownsville, Texas at the age of forty-six years old.

“Joe” was his nickname. He was born in Brownsville, Texas in 1975 to Alfredo and Josefina M. Gonzalez. He was a lifetime resident of Brownsville where he graduated high school and continued his education by attending college where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree. His career path lead him to be a Federal Law Officer where he was a Customs Inspector for Homeland Security. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Josefina Gonzalez; a sister, Ana Lilia Gonzalez and is survived by his father, Alfredo Gonzalez; his beloved wife, Erica Longoria; their loving children, Jose Armando Gonzalez Jr., Erica Isabel Gonzalez and Javier Alfredo Gonzalez. Also, to treasure many memories are his siblings; Francisco (Zoila) Gonzalez, Alicia Manzano, extended family members, many colleagues and a host of friends.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 p.m. in the North Chapel of Treviño Funeral Home with a Rosary at 6 p.m. Services will conclude that same evening; to respect his wishes, cremation will follow.
