Jose Luis Saldivar

Jose Luis Saldivar Teran, a cherished soul who graced this world with his presence on March 19, 1955, and departed from our midst on June 18, 2024, in Brownsville, Texas.

Jose Luis was known for his loving and outgoing personality that touched the hearts of all who knew him. He had a life filled with passion for simple joys; he found solace and happiness in grilling outdoors, tending to the grass with meticulous care, and passionately following the endeavors of his beloved baseball team, The Yankees and his beloved soccer team, Las Chivas.

Jose Luis Saldivar Teran leaves behind a legacy that will forever be treasured by those who had the privilege of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his adoring parents Marcilio Saldivar and Ernestina Teran. Also preceding him are siblings, Arturo Saldivar and Angelica Yolanda Saldivar.

Those left to cherish his memory include his devoted wife, Sylvia Leticia Garza, and their four beautiful children: Jose Luis Saldivar Jr., Arturo Daniel Saldivar, Marcos Alonzo Saldivar, and Alexandra Guadalupe Saldivar. Their hearts now heavy with grief but also filled with the love that Jose Luis shared unconditionally.

On June 20, 2024, friends and family will gather to pay their respects during the visitation service at Trevino Funeral Home located at 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78521. The visitation will commence at 2:00 PM and conclude at 9:00 PM.

In this time of mourning, may we find solace in the memories we shared with Jose Luis Saldivar Teran. May he rest in eternal peace knowing that he was loved beyond measure and will never be forgotten.
