Jose Luis Garcia, 63, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 20, 2019.
"Joe" as he is well known was born to Manuel Segovia Garcia and Anna Maria De La Paz in Brownsville, Texas. During his lifetime he found a passion for welding. He loved to join gatherings with family and friends. He was passionate about cooking, baking and completing home projects. He made himself available and was willing to give a helping hand. He was the best husband anyone can ask for and loved his grandchildren. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
Preceded in death by his parents and he survived by his loving wife of forty-two years Maria Esther Garcia, their children Ana Garcia (Rick), Emily Garcia (Isaac), Alexandra Garcia, Joseph Garcia (Emily). Also, to treasure many memories are his grandchildren Nathan Lee Longoria, Carlos Lee Longoria, Daniela Itzel Bermudez, Kevin Munoz, Matthew Joey Munoz; his siblings Manuel I. Garcia, Eduardo Garcia, Felipe Garcia, Maria Elena Garcia, Alicia Serur; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the North Chapel of Trevino Funeral Home. Funeral mass is scheduled at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Rite of committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Honored to serve as Joe's Pallbearers are Manuel Garcia, Danny Moreno, Enrique Herrera, Juan Espinosa, Joseph Garcia, Alex Perez and as Honorary Pallbearers are Balde Benavides, Nathan Longoria and Carlos Longoria.
