Jose Fuente

Jose G. De La Fuente, 59, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018.

Jose was born to Jose Pena and Maria Anita Rangel De La Fuente in San Fernando, Mexico. Later in life, he was adopted by Tomas De La Fuente. He retired from serving twenty-five years as Port of Brownsville Superintendent. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving wife Cheryl De La Fuente and their children Jose T. De La Fuente, Joshua De La Fuente, Michael De La Fuente (Trisha Capistran), Fredrick J. Cortez and Cassandra D. Ransdell. Also, to treasure many memories are his siblings; Juan Jose De La Fuente, Mary De La Rosa; three grandchildren and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2018, with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of Trevino Funeral Home. Services will conclude; to respect his wishes, cremation will follow.
