Jose Modesto Berlanga , 82, of Brownsville, Tx. entered into eternal life on December 21, 2009 at Brownsville Doctors Hospital .
He is preceded in death by his son, Juan Berlanga ; a brother, Teodoro Berlanga; his parents, Juan and Rosa Espinoza Berlanga.
He is survived by his Wife of 13 years Lucero Berlanga; 8 children ,Juan Modesto, Margarito, Juan Esteban, Rosa Margarita, Felicitas,Margarita, Gloria, Jasmine; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; and nephews; a sister, Margarita Berlanga Espinoza; 2 brothers; Esteban Berlanga and Leopoldo Berlanga.
Visitation will be at 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday December 22, 2009 with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home. Visitation will resume from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday December 23, 2009 with a 2 p.m. Chapel ServiceBRat Trevino Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
