Jorge “George” Sixto Garcia, 55, passed to his eternal rest at Valley Regional Medical Center on August 20, 2023.
George was a well-liked and humorous member of our community who enjoyed socializing and spreading cheer. He was always ready to lend a hand and went out of his way to help others.
He will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known him.
Jorge is preceded in death by his parents, Lydia† and Jose Guadalupe Garcia†.
He is survived by his sister, Ana Hernandez, brother-in-law, Juan Hernandez, two nieces, Rebecca E. Hernandez, Kennedy Hernandez, and nephew, Juan Pablo Hernandez.
A visitation in his honor will take place at Treviño Funeral Home-Old Port Isabel Rd. of Brownsville, Texas on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 2:00 pm. to 9:00 pm with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
Visitation resumes Friday, August 21, 2023, from 8:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
Chapel service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 12:00 p.m.
Burial to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, Texas.
