John Arthur Barnowski

John Arthur Barnowski peacefully passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at the age of 77, surrounded by his loving family.

In 1943, John was born to Michael and Dorothy Barnowski in Pinkneyville, Illinois. He was a United States Army National Guard Veteran and was retired as a civilian from AT&T after 46 years as a Special Services Technician. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known him.

John was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving wife Maria Cruz Castillo Barnowski and their children Michelle Chambers and her husband Terrence, Rogelio Castillo and Marlene Barnowski Gonzalez and her husband David. Also, to treasure many memories are his two grandchildren; Michael Flores, Jazzlyn Chambers and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 27th, 2021 with a Holy Rosary at 4 p.m. in the South Chapel of Treviño Funeral Home. At 5 p.m., Military Honors is scheduled in care of American Legion. Services will conclude; to respect his wishes, cremation will follow.
