Joe Salinas, Jr

Joe Chito Salinas, Jr., 74, entered into eternal life on October 7, 2008 at Valley Regional Medical Center.

He was a lifetime resident of Los Fresnos and was retired from Los Fresnos School District as a transportation supervisor. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mauricia Salinas, daughter, Yolanda Salinas, sons; Antonio Salinas and Joe Salinas III, sister, Maria De Jesus Guerrero,

He is survived by his wife; Vicenta Salinas of Los Fresnos, TX, children; Elida Salinas of Los Fresnos, TX, Margie John Bryant of Commerce TWP, MI, Rosie Robert Rangel of San Antonio, TX, grandchildren; Jesus Cruz, John Joseph Salinas, Robert Rangel, JR., Hector Martinez, Samantha Rangel, Stacia Martinez, Mariah Salinas and Randy Rangel, 6 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Robert Salinas of Phoenix, AR.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. today, Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel. A mass of resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2008 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church. Interment will follow to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be; Jesus Cruz, Robert Rangel, Sr., Robert Rangel, Jr., Jose Rios, Juan Espinoza and Jesus Rios.
