Jesus Perales

Jesus Perales entered into eternal rest peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the age of eighty-six. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed.

In 1957, he met his love of his life Candelaria. They got married in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico at Nuestra Señora Del Refugio Cathedral and began their journey of life together. He valued family and loved fishing.

Jesus is survived by his wife of sixty-three years Candelaria G. Perales; their ten children, Daniel Perales (Odilia), Rosa Nino (Noel), Alejandra Rodriguez (Ramiro +), Jesus Perales (Rosie), Mario Perales, Ramona Elias, Martha Garcia (Nicolas), Adolfo Perales (Nancy), Celia Ramos (Pete) and Eduardo Perales (Patricia). Also, to treasure many memories are his twenty-eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and extended family members.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 9 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2020 and Friday, February 21, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the North Chapel of Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Church located at 1914 Barnard Road in Brownsville, TX 78521. Rite of committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Escorting and honored to serve as Jesus’s pallbearers are: Jesus Perales, Adolfo Perales, Eduardo Perales, Vincent Elias, Neil Nino, Michael Rodriguez, Robert Garcia and Jesse Perales; honorary pallbearers are Daniel Perales and Mario Perales.
