Jesus G. Charles

Mr. Jesus G. Charles, passed peacefully to his eternal life on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the age of ninety-four years old.

Jesus joined the United States Airforce and proudly served his country from 1944 to 1947.

After his honorable discharge from the United States Air Force, he worked for Pan American Airlines as a licensed Aircraft Mechanic, after Pan American Airlines, he traveled to Louisiana, and Mississippi as he worked as a Boiler Tender. His knowledge and experience would later take him to the Port of Brownsville as he embarked on a new career as a Longshoreman Crane Operator. The hardworking, dedicated individual he was,  Jesus, was always ready for a new adventure and challenge while fishing with his family, repairing cars, and tending to his farm animals. However, there was no greater adventure or love than the enormous love he held for his beloved wife, Isabel C. Charles, his adoring children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.

He will be eternally missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Jesus is preceded in death by his parents, Marcelino Charles, and Olivia Garza,  and his beloved wife, Isabel C. Charles.

Left to cherish his memory are his six children, Gracie Charles Weisenberger, Elizabeth Ann Black, E.D.D.,A.B.D.,  John Michael Charles, Yolanda Charles Raith, Olivia Charles, and Jose G. Charles, eleven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Visitation will take place at the North Chapel of Treviño Funeral Home-Old Port Isabel Rd. of  Brownsville, Texas on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Military Honors at

6:00 p.m. by The American Legion Post 43.

Services to conclude at 9:00 p.m.
