Jesus "Jesse" Castro

1953 — 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jesus Castro, who entered eternal rest on June 3, 2026.

Jesus was born on February 17,1953, in Brownsville, Texas, to the late Antonio Castro and Santos Dolores Castro. He spent many years living in Las Vegas, Nevada, before eventually returning to his beloved hometown of Brownsville, where he remained close to family and friends. Jesus was a caring and loving man whose greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved. He was known for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to his family. Those who knew him will remember his warm smile, his generosity, and the genuine care he showed to others. He found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. Jesus enjoyed going to the casinos, attending church, working out at the gym, and shopping. His faith was an important part of his life, and he cherished the people around him.

Jesus was preceded in death by his parents, a brother in law, and a nephew. He is survived by his wife Alma Nereida De la Cruz de Castro, their 3 children Erick, Brenda, and Alejandro. He also leaves behind his beloved siblings: Roberto Guadalupe Castro (Bernarda), Jose Antonio Castro, Jorge Castro (Yolanda), and Rosalinda C. Hernandez (Alfredo+), along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
