LOS FRESNOS, TX. - Jesse Edward Clive, Jr., born on October 16, 1959, died on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the age of fifty-eight years old.
Jesse is a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a shrimp boat captain and in his spare time enjoyed playing pool. Jesse loved the outdoors but most of all, he loved his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
His father, Jesse Edward Clive, Sr. and his only son, Jesse Edward Clive III, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughter, April Florence Clive-Pennington (Lynden James); the mother of their children, Esmeralda Escobedo; his mother, Virginia Ernestina Hernandez-Clive; his brothers, Robert Cyril Clive and Mark Anthony Clive; his sister, Margaret Florence Clive-White (Don); and most importantly his grandchildren, Lynden Scott Pennington and Taylor Jane Pennington. He is also survived by another loving grandchild on the way, as well as numerous extended family members.
Visiting hours are on Sunday, May 20, 2018, beginning at one o'clock in the afternoon and concluding at nine o'clock at night, with a recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o'clock Sunday evening within the Trevino Funeral Home North Chapel.
Funeral services will commence on Monday, May 21, 2018 at ten o'clock in the morning, at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, located at 1218 E. Jefferson Street, Brownsville, Texas 78520. Committal services with full military honors will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, Texas 78526.
