Javier Vela

Javier Javi Vela, 24 of Brownsville, Texas passed away on March 20, 2014 at Valley Baptist Medical Center and was born on March 5, 1990 in Brownsville.


Mr. Vela is presently survived by his parents: Sixto and Maria A. Vela, 2 brothers: Jaime Vela and Sixto, Jr. Marvelia Vela, 2 sisters: Sylvia Vela and Erika Alberto Barrientos.
15 nieces and nephews also survive him. Serving as pallbearers will be members of his immediate family.

Javier was a former graduate of Porter High School, class of 2009. Javi was very fond of Rock Music and Selena Gomez. Javier will always be remembered as an Excellent son, brother and an Extraordinary Uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 9:00am to 9:00pm with a 7:00pm prayer service and his funeral service will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 10:00am as a Chapel Service and interment will follow to Buena Vista Burial Park.
